When Kiki feels jealous, it feels like a storm in his head, with frustration, comparison, and "it's not fair!" thoughts swirling around. Sometimes, appreciating what he has can make him feel happier — this is called gratitude. When you practice gratitude, it can make jealousy feel less powerful. Gratitude reminds Kiki that just because someone has a cool phone or a pet unicorn, it doesn’t take away from what he has. It also helps him celebrate the little wins, like finding the last biscuit in the tin!
You could practise your gratitude by making a gratitude jar. Start by writing or drawing something you're thankful for each day and pop it in a jar. When you’re feeling low, look through your jar to see all the things that make you happy!
